An accomplished human resources professional, Mary has 25+ years of diverse experience with focus in the areas of employee benefits, compensation and employee retention. Mary is adept at developing and implementing innovative strategies to achieve client objectives as well as launch and direct new initiatives. She drives results by building strong, respectful business relationships and quickly gaining trust and credibility with clients and business partners.

Mary has experience working in the benefit outsourcing industry, as well as on the employer side of business. Her outsourcing work has included implementation support, as well as client management and benefit administration operations. Mary has a strong operational orientation with proven success in developing process improvements and best practices. Her focus on the prevention of and remediation of process gaps successfully impacts financial results for clients.

Prior to joining herronpalmer, Mary worked as Client Services Director for Human Systems Development (HSD Metrics) for six years where she was responsible for client implementations and all ongoing client support, including the introduction of new product features and services.

Mary also worked four years at ING (formerly CitiStreet and now Voya) where she was Client Operations Director for large-market clients. Prior to ING, she was a Vice President at Chicago Consulting Actuaries (CCA Strategies) for four years where she managed client relationships and benefits consulting and administration services for multiple benefit plans.

Before working in the outsourcing industry, Mary worked in Corporate Benefits at MeadWestvaco (formerly Mead Corporation) and as the Benefits Manager for Reed Elsevier (formerly LexisNexis), a division of Mead.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from Mount St. Joseph University. She also holds the following certifications: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Society for Human Resources Management, and Certified Compensation Professional and Work-Life Certified Professional designations from WorldAtWork. Mary completed the Management Development course at the Center for Creative Leadership and the Process Mapping course at The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management and the Office of Executive Programs, Michigan State University.
