Barb Hegman

A thoughtful and collaborative manager who enjoys working on challenging projects in changing environments, Barb has worked in a number of capacities involving employee benefits for more than 20 years. Her experience on both the client and the service delivery side, along with her ability to organize and manage complex projects have made her a valuable and reliable resource to her clients. Her relationship management skills enable her to successfully assist her clients in aligning goals across organizational boundaries and functional teams.

Before working with herronpalmer, Barb worked for M&I Trust (now BMO Harris) as Vice President of Retirement Plan Services in their Minnesota market and was responsible for growing and servicing defined contribution, trust and custody services.

Barb also spent 14 years with American Express Institutional Services (now Ameriprise) in a number of roles including Director of Client Relations and Director of Client Service leading efforts to develop and implement client service and segmentation strategies aimed at improving satisfaction and retention. Her favorite role was as an Account Executive working directly with large institutional clients consulting on goals and priorities and putting action plans in place.

Barb began her career working for Dyco Petroleum Corporation where she worked her way up to the role of Benefits Manager where she was responsible for the administration, communication, research and evaluation of benefit and compensation programs.

Barb has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. She also has a Master of Agriculture in Horticulture from the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, MN.
